Social distancing protections in store
We want every customer in our store to feel completely safe. So, we’ve followed HM Government’s “Covid Secure” guidelines and we are delighted with the results.
We now limit the number of households in store to 5 at a time and we have a 2 metre-spaced queuing area outside the shop. We have a very large 10,000 sq ft shop so each person now has a huge amount of personal space and by limiting the numbers in store we can keep that nice amount of space for each individual.
The shop is regularly sanitised, especially in the high use zones such as the cashier area. The credit card terminal is cleaned extremely regularly and plenty of
hand sanitiser is made available free of charge to everyone.
Contactless payments are encouraged and in fact with ApplePay it is possible to complete payment entirely without touching the terminal and for unlimited amounts. However, we recognise that many customers still only use cash so we are still accepting cash if that is the customer’s preference.
We have fitted a new perspex shield around the till area to give added protection for staff and customers.
We regularly disinfect all the carpet samples and if you would like to have a sample disinfected prior to using it just ask a member of the team and they’ll be happy to help you out.
The carpet fitters who regularly collect stock from us have been provided with personal protective equipment including gloves and masks. Our employed fitters can accept payment via credit or debit card which eliminates the need for anyone to handle cash.
We are sympathetic to the fact that some customers may still be shielding or perhaps are in one of the “at-risk” vulnerable groups. If there are any special provisions that you would like us to make for you we will do our very best to accommodate your needs.
